efficient day

So today was a 'study at home day' - meaning we had no lectures today and you're supposed to study on your own. But instead of wasting the entire morning by sleeping. Me and a couple of people in my class went to the university library and sat down to study. We were there from 9-11 in the morning. So when I came home I had some lunch. And then I spent the entire afternoon cleaning my appartment and doing laundury, And it wasn't a "lets move some things around to make it look better", it was a lets get this place to be spotless (ok maybe not spotless but you get the point ;) ). I don't know how many hours it took but it sure took a few! And don't think I wasted several hours that could be used to study. No no, I was listening to an audio-book that we have to read, while cleaning AND during the cleaning I actually finished the book. So it's really been an efficient day and it feels really good ^^

Tomorrow I get my "student money" (haha xP) soooooo I will finally be able to buy some fooooooood!

Oh I just have to show you this picture. It's so stupid. I uploaded a video to facebook and when it was uploaded I got this message:

I mean seriously what kind of weird Swenglish is this? :P

"You can now titta på den or välja en miniatyrbild"
- I mean having it in English in the beginning and then Swedish at the end is one thing
but to add an English word at random in the middle of the Swedish - what? xP

Oh well, I'm off to get the last laundury out of the mashine and then I'm very soon off to bed!

Two weeks

Yesterday was my two weeks of living here-day. Feels like it's been so much longer than that. My apartment already feel like my home, I have learned my surrounding much better, allthough I haven't been in the centrum, with the two small malls and the small 'shopping street' yet. But I'll probably go there tomorrow or some other day soon because I really need to buy small post it's. I only have big ones at the moment, and I have to cut them into smaller pieces. I mean that works, but it takes up unessesary time of my studying.

And wow, I can't believe I actually enjoy studying! How weird is that? But it's so interesting and reading about all the things I will be able to to with this education, when I've graduated, it really confirmes that what I've chosen to study, is what I really want to do/work with/as!

I have a 25 minute walk to the university and I'm walking up hill all the way to school. It's most of the way only a very slope, but it's enough to make your legs really tired. And riding my bike takes me about 15 minutes, but that is also very tiering, because of the slope. But what ever, it will just get easier and easier by time plus it's a 50 minute walk every dag = free exercise!

And the malls and stuff are very close to school so it's about 25 minutes to walk there too (which I haven't done yet, but probably will tomorrow or some day soon). Everything (pretty much) is in a walking-range so it's really really nice.

Oh well, I have to get back to my books now.

Feel free to call me at anytime if you want to, friends and family. If I'm at school/busy, I'll just call you back later. :)

Some videos

I've gotten a request to post some of my youtube videos so here we go:

Here's the first video I made about moebius. This was in early 2010 I think. You can tell that it's one of my first cause I'm really shy.

This one is right after I got my letter saying when I would have my surgery.

This is the video I did just after my surgery

Three weeks after my surgery

One month after

Three months

Celebrating the first ever Moebius Syndrome Awareness day, Janyary 24th 2011

One year after my surgery

So that's some of them and I guess the most important ones :)

Moved!

Hi guys! I'm so sorry I haven't bloged in a while, but there's been soooo much going on with me moving out so there just havent been much time left over for bloging. But now I'm back! ;D

So, I've moved out of my parents house in Stockholm and into my own apartment in the north of Sweden, in a town called Östersund. It's about 70 Swedish mil.

This is the sort of landscape we have up here. The lake is kalled Storsjön ("Biglake") and it really is big. And very beautiful. Weird picture but I took it sitting in a moving car :P

A... well... weird panorama-picture of my apartment. It's got one room and a kitchen. The bathroom and the toilet is in the hallway outside of my apartment. That makes it a bit tricky, especially when taking a shower, because to reach the bathroom you have to go in to the laundury room and then in there there is a door into my bathroom. The toilet is in the hallway outside of my door. But I live down in the basement (as you can see my window is quite small and the flowers in it is standing on ground level) so I'm pretty much alone down here anyways (unless someone is doing their laundury, cause I'm next door to that room - which makes laundury day easy for me ;) ) so I can go to and from the toilet and my bathroom without anybody seeing me.

On in the picture, you can't see my door, cause it's on the right wall that you can just barely see the beginning of. But I'll take some more and better pictures later and show you.

See ya laterz!

Mormor, jag har inte glömt, jag ska lägga upp videorna, jag lovar. Kram!

20!

I turned 20 yesterday. Feels pretty weird having left the teenager-years. I really didn't want to leave them but oh well, what can you do? ;)

Because almost none of my relatives are home in July I will celebrate with them in August, so I celebrated with a couple of friends yesterday. I don't have many pictures of it but here are some:

A welcome-drink I made. It's a non-alcoholic San Francisco - my favourite drink ^^

.

All made by me ^^ Oh and the cake is a recipie I found in a magazine a couple of months ago and thought I'd try it for my birthday. And HOLY cow how good it was! It's a oreocheesecake. YUMMY!

Today I woke up with teh biggest cold ever. I've had a sour throat and a stuffy nose (is that really the word for it?) for a few days and I quess that now that my birthday is over and I can realax, it broke out. Haha, but I'm glad it was now rather than a few days before ^^

Oh well, I'm off to eat some leftovers, go crazy with what's left of the cake, watch a movie and just realax (just cause I can ;) )! :D

Oh and by the way, I'm moving out in a month, crazzzy!

Happyness and love

Me on the plane to England - first time flying alone.

My mother came and visited the last two days and here we (me, mum, Billie (the daughter in my host family), her boyfriend and Lin (my hostmother)) played this game where you have a person's name on you forhead and by asking yes and no questions you're supposed to figure out who you "are". It was great fun! I had Robert Pattinson xP

Typical English Christmas-food

Stonehenge :)

Karaoke nights at St George <3

Christmas decorating in school

Old Village and St George ("our" pub) <3

Kitchen staff at school and the lovely Allison (in the middle). She's so nice. Really miss her. The blonde girl next to her is her daughter.

Me at halloween on the roof of the most awesome gayclub I've ever been to, dressed as... beaten up?

I FOUND SWEDISH CANDY! Oh the joy! xP Suuuuuuuuperexpensice though!

I'm such a nerd xP

There were penises on the Parlament Bridge in London - hahahahaha xP Haha oh how we laughed at this!

I don't know how many more pictures I can post in this post. These pictures are soooo out of order. But I was thinking, would you like me to go through my time in Brighton, in pictures? I can divide it into a few different posts with pictures and some text. And then of course, in order. Leave a comment if this is something you would like :)

I hope you enjoyed this :)

Wow, you guys <3

So I was going through some of my surgery-videos on youtube and then I read through pretty much all the blog posts I did around that time too (they're in Swedish). And reading all the coments from you guys. Wow. That's all I can say. I got all emotional. I don't really remember too much of the first few weeks after my surgery because there was just so much going on and I was soooo tired all the time, so reading through it and all of your comments (both on my vids and on this blog)... wow.

It just means so much to me. You all mean so much to me. And reading your comments, all the love that you showed me (and still do), it's amaizing. Especially the comments from my relatives on my mothers side - you can just feel the love.

Ok so this post is all... weird and probably hard to understand in a way but... I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you, all of you for the support you vere giving me, during and after the time of my surgery. It still does warm my heart and you all mean the world to me! I love you guys!

Oh, and Teri (I don't know if you still read my blog, but you did once before :P ) thank you for answering all my questions I had. - For those of you who don't know, we had the same surgery but... 15(?) years apart :) So Teri was my go-to-person when there was something I wondered and she really helped me a lot. Thank you <3

Now I'm soooo off to bed - it's way too late. Haha ^^

Love you all!

New computer please!

I need a new laptop. My big one (I also have a small one I used to bring with me to school when I went to 6th form) is just breaking more and more. First the soundcard got all messed up, and now it's almost not working. Or well, I can listen to music, watch movies and such and I can hear people, when e.g. on skype but they can't hear me. And now the fan is... well I don't really know, it's just messed up. And... I don't know it just feels... old fashioned somehow. It doesn't have the ability to have sertain programs I want, that VAIO-computers has. And that's what  I want, a VAIO, like the one my parents have. Only problem is... I can't afford one.

Hopefully I'll get the job I have an interview for, next week (doubt it though with the luck I seem to be having when it comes to jobs -.-'). But I still won't be able to afford it cause I have to save that money to when I (if I get in...) move to Östersund. Or maybe I should consider it an investation for the studying I will have to dot there? I mean I will need the computer in order to write essays. Maybe it's cheaper to just buy a new sound card and fan and have it installed? But then I still won't have the programs I want. Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it - I haven't even got a job yet so, no need to figure out how I want to use my money just yet ;)

Haha, oh the problems of today ;) I should consider myself lucky though, that I have my small computer. I mean it works for most things (but yeah... EVERYTHING is small and try writing an essay on that one - one of the most annoying things I've ever had to do!). Oh well, as long as I still live at home, I can borrow my parents computer ;)

University and stuff

Yesterday was the last day to apply for university so this weekend I applied for a few courses:

1. Socionomlinjen (the best translation I could find is "graduate from a School of Social Studies") at Mittuniversitetet in Östersund (in the north/middle of Sweden)
2. Socionomlinjen (same as nr 1) at Stockholms Universitet (Stockholm University) - it's waaaaaay harder to get in at Stockholms Universitet/SU so therefore I've chosen it as number 2 (ha-ha, no I did not mean poo! >.< ;) ) instead of number 1
3. Socionomlijen at Mäldardalens Högskola in Eskilstuna (awkwardly enough I don't really know where that is, not too far from Stocholm though)
4. English step I at Stockholms Universitet

With a little bit of luck I'll be accepted to Mittuniversitetet in Östersund (my grades is on the edge of the acception... point? Uh...?). AND if I do get in - it means that I will be moving out of my parents house for the first "real time". I moved out when I moved to Brighton but it's not really "real" because I lived with a family ;) I'm sooo excited! Ive alrady made a list of what I allready have and what I need if I move.

I will know in the 12th of July (just realised that's the same day I'm going to USA ^^) if I'm accepted (it's such a long time!!!!). But it's good because that's 13 days before my birthday (turning 20 AND perhaps moving out - I'm getting old! ;) ) SO I will have time to know if I want to put "nessessary" things on my with list or like... more 'normal' birtdaygift-stuff on it. Haha, nessessary in my mind is like, cutlery, plates, chairs (ok I might be able to borrow chairs but still...) pots, colinder and so on :)

<-------Östersund :)

Phoneinterview

I just realised that I didn't tell you guys how the interview went the other week. To maka a long story short, they picked another person. BUT I just had a phoneinterview with another... company and it felt really good so with a bit of luck I'll go through to the 'next round' and maybe get a 'real' interview, or how ever they will handle it ^^

Oh, I found this picture yesterday and I just think it's soooooo awesome, so I just have to share it with you guys:
